What is a Howlite stone?

Howlite is a fine stone (formerly known as a "semi-precious stone") known for its soothing and calming properties. This stone is often used in lithotherapy to reduce stress and promote meditation. It is also known to promote patience and wisdom. It was discovered in 1868 in California and was named in honor of the Canadian chemist and mineralogist Henry How. Although it is sometimes called "white turquoise," Howlite has its own distinct properties and characteristics. Howlite deposits are found in the United States, Canada, Turkey, and Germany. It has a hardness of 3.5 on the Mohs scale. If you want to learn more about the history and virtues of the natural Howlite stone, you can find this information in our Blog.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert creator, you can find our gemstones on thread Howlite or individual beads categorized by shape to create your handmade jewelry prototypes (such as men's bracelet and/or women's).
