Labradorite fascinates with its beautiful play of colors, often in the blue or green hues, called labradorescence, and its metallic shine. Worn as a jewel, labradorite will be highlight with the sunlight. Naive-Americans called it "stone of fire" because of that. Its main deposits are in Canada -in the Labrador peninsula where it has been discovered- but also in the U.S, in Madagascar, Mexico, Russia and Finland for the spectrolite (vartiety of labradorite that shows all the rainbow colors in its reflects).
