What is an Apatite Stone?

Apatite is a fine stone, formerly also known as a semi-precious stone. Its changing composition gives it different colors: very pure turquoise blue, darker blue, "smurf" blue. But it can also be in different shades of yellow and sometimes green. Its shades of blue make it an ideal stone for unique jewelry. It has a hardness of 5 on the Mohs scale.
