What is an Amazonite Stone?
Amazonite is a fine stone, formerly also known as a semi-precious stone. It is a variety of microcline feldspar with a hardness ranging from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its name is derived from the Amazon River, where it is said to have been discovered. This semi-precious stone in green, blue-green, translucent to opaque color has a shimmering appearance and is sensitive to pressure.
