What is Larimar Stone?

Larimar is a gemstone (formerly known as "semi-precious stone"), it is a variety of blue pectolite, often veined with white or pale blue, found only in the Dominican Republic for the finest stones and in Italy. Its blue-green color and fine white veins give it the appearance of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean seas. Its rarity and unique color make it a sought-after stone.
