What is Malachite Stone?

Malachite is a fine stone (formerly known as a "semi-precious stone"), a famous green gemstone known for its light green and dark green color banding. This stone is usually cut into cabochons to highlight these green shades and has been widely used in the creation of ornamental objects, such as Fabergé eggs. The most well-known deposits are found in the Ural Mountains, although most malachites are now extracted from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Namibia. It has a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale. If you want to learn more about the history and virtues of the natural Malachite stone, you can find this information on our Blog.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert creator, find our gemstones threaded on Malachite or individual beads classified by shape to create your handmade jewelry prototypes (such as men's bracelet and/or women's).

How to Use Cabochons?

Cabochons are very easy to use, simply apply glue to the flat side of the cabochon and stick it onto a suitable base to create jewelry. Explore our selection of findings for cabochons now: 925 Silver Cabochon Setting and 14K Gold Filled Cabochon Setting.
