What is a Lava Stone?
Lava stone is a gemstone (formerly known as a "semi-precious stone"), formed by lava that was violently ejected from a volcano during an eruption and quickly cooled. It is a black or dark gray rock or scoria that can be found around dormant volcanoes. When used in jewelry, it gives a natural and elegant effect.
