Cyanite (sometimes called kyanite or kyanite) is recognizable by its jean blue color, but can also occur in darker blues and sapphire blue. Cyanite is also often streaked with white. The most famous deposits are those in the Kali Gandaki Region, on the border between Nepal and Tibet.
