What is a Labradorite stone?

Labradorite is a fine stone (formerly called" half-preciousstone") known for its fascinating play of colors often in blue-green tones, called labradorescence, as well as for its metallic luster. In jewelry, labradorite is sublimated by light, which earned it the nickname "stone of fire" given by the Amerindians.
