What is a Spinel stone ?

Spinel is a fine stone (formerly called "stone half-precious"). It is a beautiful protective stone. Spinel generally comes in a variety of colors, including red, orange, yellow, dark green, blue, purple and brown, but the relatively rare opaque black variety is found in only a few areas.
